CQC REPORT

The Care Quality Commission carried out an inspection of our Practice in April 2016.  Please see the full copy of their Report under 'Further Information - Patient information leaflets & fees' on the rght hand side of this page.

***  FLU CLINICS  ***

Flu Clinics will take place on the following Saturdays:-

 24th SEPTEMBER & 15th OCTOBER 8.00am - 12.00pm

No appointment is necessary.  Children to attend on 15th October date only. 

Please ask at Reception to check whether you or your child are eligible for a flu vaccination.

 EMERGENCY MEDICATION REQUESTS The issue of repeat medication is regarded as the Patient's responsibility and as such should be ordered in time to maintain continuity.  From 01 June 2016 not all medication will be considered to be urgent. 

 Please ask at Reception for further information.  

***  TRAVEL CLINIC  *** 

We will be re-introducing our Travel Clinic on 01 September 2016.  Please ask at Reception for details of our amended Travel Clinic or see the leaflet below.

These services include a self help tool, a directory for local pharmacies; which can see you for minor ailments such as: Diarrhoea, mouth ulcers, thrush, teething, head lice, hay  fever, hemorrhoids, cystitis, constipation, skin conditions and emergency contraception.

There is a video to view which states you can ring the new clinical contact centre; this number is not yet available, it is planned to be phased in during the winter.

 

 *** MENINGITIS B VACCINE ***

The Men B immunisation Programme started on 1 September 2015 for babies aged 2 months ie babies born on or after 1 July 2015.  There was a limited catch-up programme for babies born on or after 1 May 2015.  The routine schedule is for immunisation to be given at 2 and 4 months with the primaries, with a booster at 12 months.  Please note that we are unable to offer this vaccination to children born before 1 May 2015 and we do not offer a private vaccination service.  If you have any queries, please visit the following website:-  www.nhs.uk/conditions/vaccinations/pages/meningitis-b-vaccine.aspx
